Senior Environmental Engineer

Saskatoon, SKFull-time

ND Geosciences Ltd. is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys combining technical environmental engineering work with business development and client engagement.

About the Role

  • Lead and support environmental engineering projects (e.g., Phase I/II ESAs, environmental monitoring, regulatory support).
  • Contribute to business development, client relationships, and proposal preparation.
  • Support multidisciplinary engineering work within the company as required.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to grow ND Geosciences' environmental services across Saskatchewan.

Qualifications

  • University Degree: Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Civil or Environmental discipline).
  • 5-10 years of relevant environmental engineering experience.
  • P.Eng. designation with APEGS, or eligible for registration with APEGS.
  • Strong understanding of Saskatchewan environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and client-facing skills.
  • Interest in business development and long-term career growth.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence and willingness to travel across the province.

Junior Geotechnical/Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT)

Saskatoon, SKFull-time

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in geotechnical and civil engineering projects under the mentorship of senior professionals.

About the Role

  • Assist with geotechnical field investigations, including borehole drilling, test pits, sampling, and field logging on projects across Saskatchewan.
  • Support laboratory testing programs and interpret soil and rock test results.
  • Assist with geotechnical analyses, including foundation recommendations, pavement design inputs, and slope stability assessments.
  • Prepare draft technical memoranda, figures, and geotechnical reports.
  • Provide support during construction activities, including site inspections and quality control testing.
  • Coordinate with drillers, laboratories, and other project stakeholders.
  • Support health and safety requirements during field and office work.

Qualifications

  • University Degree: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical focus preferred).
  • Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with APEGS, or eligible to register.
  • 0–3 years of relevant geotechnical or civil engineering experience (co-op or internship experience considered an asset).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to perform field work across Saskatchewan, including occasional travel.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
  • Experience with geotechnical software, AutoCAD, or GIS is considered an asset.
